Vendor/Dealer Policy

GENERAL VENDOR REQUIREMENTS

  • Vendors must conduct themselves in accordance with the Code of Conduct, Terms of Entry, Vendor/Dealer Policy, and any terms outlined in the Dealer Info Pack provided upon acceptance and further correspondence via email, Telegram, or any other communication methods. Failure to comply with the above may result in a vendor being removed from the venue and/or no longer being able to work with What the Furry Market in the future.
  • Goods may only be sold by approved vendors at the market, and only in their designated space. Any person found selling anything in or around the event space that is not an authorised dealer will be asked to pack up and potentially to leave the space.
  • All visible content must be SFW. All NSFW content requires a barrier to interaction. For example, this could be a post-it note over the art, or a separate folder with a solid cover and text based warning of the folders contents
  • At least one vendor or their assistant is required to be at a table at all times unless otherwise arranged with staff. A volunteer can be asked to watch over your table (not from behind it) to let people know you’ll be back if you need a very quick break (no more than 5 minutes)
  • Displays must not obstruct or hinder attendees, neighboring vendors or violate fire codes
  • No loud music is permitted. Music can be played at a very low level as long as you have permission from your table neighbours, and it is not so loud as to be disruptive. Music must be SFW and not upsetting or jarring.

LAWS AND REGULATIONS

  • It is against the laws set within NSW to sell or solicit items or services on public land without approval. The event space has granted What the Furry Market permission to provide approval for those accepted as vendors for the market to sell goods.
  • All art and items for sale must adhere to NSW and Federal law. Any vendor found to be selling items that break these laws will be removed from the market immediately. The vendor will also receive a permanent ban, and details will be forwarded on to law enforcement.

INSURANCE / CERTIFICATE OF CURRENCY
All vendors are required to provide a certificate of currency for market insurance that will be valid as of the day of the market. This certificate must be provided 2 months before the market.

AI POLICY

What the Furry Market stands strongly with the artists and creatives of the world. Without human creativity the world will lose its soul.

As such, there is a strict no tolerance policy on AI generated content. No form of AI-generated content can be sold or displayed in the den. This includes text, audio, videos, images, sewing patterns, or anything else spat out by an AI.

All works in the den MUST have had a human hand take part in the creative process, whether this is the vendor themselves or another artist who has given permission for their work to be sold via the vendor.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items are prohibited in the dealers den:

  • Weapons, replica or not, unless cleared with market staff prior to the event
  • Dangerous goods or items that might cause bodily harm
  • Live animals (with exception for staff approved service animals)
  • Food and drink (unless approved by staff)
  • Explicit uncensored material
  • Drop-shipped, knock-off, or plagiarized goods

TABLES ARE FOR APPROVED VENDORS ONLY

We know that you want to support your friends and that a lot of you will sell items for friends if you have room on your table. This is not allowed without prior approval from WTFM. This is to keep the den fair for all dealers, and to protect the market from any damages caused by un-insured items being sold.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

Please notify the den team as soon as you realise you can no longer attend. This gives us the best chance possible to fill your spot.

Table fees can be refunded up to 2 months before the market.
Table fees may not be directly transferred to another vendor.
